About Ingrid
Bachelor of Psychological Science (Hons)

Ingrid is a Registered Psychologist. She has completed Bachelor of Psychological Science (Hons) and her supervised practice requirements to become a fully registered psychologist. She has fifteen years of experience in providing evidence-based therapy.

She works collaboratively with her clients to set goals for therapy, and she prefers to adapt suitable psychological treatment styles to meet her clients’ needs. Ingrid is optimistic, patient and non-judgemental, helping her clients to feel respected and at ease.
​
Ingrid's special interests lie in helping people through life transitions, managing anxiety, stress and depression, adjusting to life’s difficulties, managing chronic pain and illness, and improving self-esteem. She can assist you if you are going through grief and loss, vocational uncertainties, body image issues, parenting challenges, or low self-esteem. She understands that people exist within the context of relationships and communities, and she enjoys helping clients to improve their communication and relationship skills.

Ingrid has extensive clinical experience in a variety of evidence based therapeutic approaches, including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (including Mindfulness), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Schema Therapy and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Ingrid has Level 2 Training in the Gottman Method.

She is experienced in providing relaxation/arousal reduction training, Anger Management training and Assertiveness training. Ingrid enjoys using aspects of Positive and Happiness Psychology, and Compassion-Focussed Therapy (CFT).
​
Ingrid has worked with moderate and complex clinical presentations in a variety of health settings, including disability services, employment services, employee assistance programs, the Lifeline Crisis Counselling service, and private practice. She is also an accredited Life Coach.
She engages in ongoing professional development and training to ensure that she constantly strives to achieve the best outcomes for her clients.

In her spare time, Ingrid enjoys cycling and outdoors activities, as well as reading, and spending time with friends and family.
About Ash
Ash is our therapy companion.
He is not an accredited therapy dog, but he is placid and quiet, and he loves people.
Ash is available to sit in on your session if you request it.
